Engineering is one of the most job-oriented streams in India that has been keenly sought by lakhs of students every year across the country. Over time, Admission to the premier Engineering colleges is getting tougher day by day. Engineering Entrance Exams 2021: Conducting Authority

National Testing Agency, popularly known as NTA has been entrusted to conduct National level Entrance Tests across the country. NTA has been established by the Ministry of Education (Formerly Ministry of Human Resources Development) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization. NTA has the sole responsibility to conduct efficient, transparent, and international standard tests for assessing the potential of the candidate, who is seeking admission to the premier higher education institutions across the country at the national level.

JEE MAINS:

From 2019 onwards, National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has been entrusted to carry out JEE MAINS i.e. Joint Entrance Examination Mains to provide admission into the most reputed IIITs, NITs, and other prestigious engineering institutions of India. From this year i.e. 2021, JEE MAINS is going to be conducted four times a year. The first two sessions have already been taken place and the rest two have been postponed so far but hopefully, NTA will release the conducting dates very soon.

JEE MAINS 2021 is held online except the drawing section of Paper 2 (B.Arch). Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Courses (B.E/B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions). This is the most important entrance exam for admission to Top Engineering Colleges and more than 10 lakhs students appear in JEE MAINS every year.

Admission Offered: 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 CFTIs

JEE Advanced:

Joint Entrance Examination Advanced i.e. JEE Advanced is formerly referred to as the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). JEE Advanced is a gateway to secure admission in the most prestigious Engineering Colleges in India i.e. IITs. Students need to be qualified JEE MAINS in order to appear in JEE Advanced. It is held once every year by one of the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of JAB i.e. Joint Admission Board. This year in 2021, JEE Advanced is going to be conducted by IIT Kharagpur and the proposed date is July 3rd, 2021. Last year it was conducted by IIT Delhi. Apart from IITs, JEE Advanced qualified students are very much eligible to take admission into Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy (IIPE), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The scores obtained in JEE Advanced can also let the students to taken admission into Overseas Universities like the University of Cambridge and the National University of Singapore.

BITSAT 2021:

BITS i.e. Birla Institute of Technology and Science has been conducting the University-level Engineering Admission Test since its inception. It is called BITSAT which stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. The Entrance test occurs in a year in which more than 2 lakh students appear to get admission into 3 distinct campuses of the BITS. BITSAT 2021 is going to be held online and there will be 2000 students granted admission to the different campuses of Birla Institute of Technology and Science. The duration of the Online Exam is 3 hours and there are 4 sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning and Mathematics.

VITEEE 2021:

Vellore Institute of Technology is one of the most reputed and leading Engineering Institutions in India that has been keenly sought by lakhs of students for producing expert and skilled engineers working across the globe in a dimension of Technical sectors. Every year VIT conducts the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam i.e. VITEEE through Online mode where candidates have a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes to score 125 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Aptitude, and English. The Entire test is Objective in nature with Multiple Choice Answers.

SRMJEEE 2021:

SRM Institute of Science and Technology conducts Joint Engineering Entrance Examination through Online mode every year to provide admission to 7000 Undergraduate seats in the different campuses of SRM University. However, direct admissions have also been provided to the Top 1000 IIT JEE Rank holders. SRM Institute of Science and Technology is one of the most premier Technical Institutions across the country that has been established itself in the field of Technical Research, Development, and equipping trained engineers.

COMEDK UGET 2021:

Karnataka is home to several leading Technical Institutions that have gained an immense reputation for providing skilled technical professionals who have been deployed across the globe in the Top Technology Parks and Engineering solutions. COMEDK UGET which refers to the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka is the responsible authority to conduct the Entrance Exam for granting admissions to 181 Engineering Colleges in the state. Around 20,000 B.Tech seats are offered for admission every year through COMEDK UGET which is held online across various centers in India. Students need to attempt 180 MCQs in 3 hours from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 

Admission Offered: R.V., Ramaiya College of Engineering, BMS Bangalore, and other 181 Engineering Colleges affiliated to COMEDK.

KIITEE 2021:

KITEE stands for Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination is conducted every year by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. Every year eligible applicants are granting admissions into the 4 years Undergraduate Engineering Courses i.e. B.Tech programs are offered by the Institute. The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology has a vast lush green campus equipped with all the necessary laboratories for conferring world-class training to its students in Bhubaneshwar, the state of Odisha, and one of the leading Engineering Institutes across the state and country as well. KIIT has secured its place among the prestigious technical institutions across the country for producing trained and skilled engineers that have been deploying in a dimension of Engineering sectors in the private and government sector as well. KIITEE is conducted in Online mode carrying 3 sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Qualifying marks need to be obtained by the applicants for admission into B.Tech program.

WBJEE 2021:

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state-level admission test conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. To offer admissions into 116 Engineering Institutions including some of the Top Technical Colleges of the state of West Bengal. WBJEE is a gateway for admission to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered in Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy in the leading technical institutes of the state. WBJEE 2021 is proposed to be held on July 11, 2021, in Online mode this year. 

Admission Offered: Bengal College of Engineering, Durgapur, Academy of Technology, Hooghly, Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura, and other 116 Technical Colleges

MHT CET 2021:

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level Admission Exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for admissions to the first year of BE/B.Tech courses in the Top leading Engineering colleges in the state of Maharashtra. Candidates having the domicile of Maharashtra are only eligible to appear in MHT CET. It is a pen and paper-based entrance examination. Around 4 lakh students appear for the test every year in the state of Maharashtra to secure a seat in the leading Technical Institutions of the state. 

Admission Offered: Vishwakarma Engineering College, Pune, DY Patil College of Engineering, ICT Mumbai, VIT Pune, and other 401 Engineering colleges. 

MET 2021:

Manipal Academy of Higher Education is a well-known Technical Hub for providing skilled engineers placed in a number of MNCs, PSUs, and Private firms by establishing the capabilities that they gained from the distinct campus of MAHE. The Manipal Entrance Test is a University level Admission Exam that a conducted online to provide admission into 16 Engineering Disciplines in its three separate campuses. Every year there are more than 50,000 students who appear for MET to secure a seat in BE/B.Tech programs. The entrance test is 150 minutes long and MCQs are based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
