The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has invited applications from eligible candidates to take admission to the top Engineering colleges of Maharashtra. Jan 2nd, 2024 Onwards, applications are being invited from eligible and interested candidates across the country to enroll in different engineering programs.


Candidates need to apply online at https://auth.maharashtracet.org. Candidates interested in appearing at the MHT CET 2024 Engineering Entrance have to duly submit the MHT CET 2024 application form by filling personal and academic details. Eligibility criteria and important dates are mentioned below.


MHT CET Engineering 2024: Eligibility Criteria


Candidates who are seeking admission to B.Tech/B.E. courses offered by the govt./private Engineering colleges in Maharashtra. Certain eligibility criteria have been determined to be eligible for appearing in MHT CET 2024. Candidates across the country can apply for B.Tech programs in Maharashtra. Following are the details of the eligibility criteria.


  • Candidates must be a citizen of India

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM or equivalent exam from a recognized board.

  • There is no specified age limit for appearing in MHT CET Engineering 2024.

  • Candidates irrespective of domicile can apply to MHT CET Engineering Exam 2024.

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 45% marks and 40% marks for the reserved category and PwD Candidates.

  • Candidates who have passed a B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university can also apply for B.Tech courses in Maharashtra.

Ques:  Can candidates from other states apply for the MHT CET 2024 exam?


Ans: The MHT CET Exam 2024 is open to all Indian nationals, including candidates from other states. However, reservation policies apply only to candidates belonging to Maharashtra. Also, candidates from outside Maharashtra/All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT CET 2024 as a Score of JEE Main is preferred over MHT CET for admission to BE/BTech courses. 


To apply for MHT CET, candidates need to register online and fill out the application form. The application form has already been released and interested candidates can apply from Jan 16th to March 1st, 2024. MHT CET 2024 exam is to be held in April 2024.


Q:  What is the age limit to apply for MHT CET 2024?


Ans: As per the MHT CET 2024 eligibility criteria released by the MAHARASHTRA CET CELL, there is no age limit to apply for MHT CET. Candidates of any age can apply and appear in the MHT CETs exam. The only condition is that the candidate should have passed class 12 or appearing in the exam on the year os apply for MHT CET.


Q:  What is the MHT CET 2024 exam date?


Ans: The MHT CET 2024 exam date has been announced. The exam will be held from April 16th to 30th. Maharashtra CET Cell will conduct the MHT CET exam separately for PCM and PCB. For Pharmacy courses, the exam will be held from April 16 to 23 while for engineering courses, the exam will be conducted from April 25 to 30. Candidates should keep checking this page or the official website to get regular updates about the MHT CET 2024 exam dates. The Maharashtra CET Cell has released the MHT CET application form 2024.
