Sri Muthukumaran Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. Aspiring students need to qualify in NEET conducted by NTA followed by the counselling conducted by DME, Chennai.

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in SMMC, Chennai. The candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG. SMMC, Chennai offers MBBS Course as per the regulations prescribed by the recognized NMC, New Delhi.
