Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Sanaka Hospitals is one of the newest medical institutes located in the Durgapur district of West Bengal. Since its inception in 2015, Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences is contributing to felicitating advanced medical education and clinical training to the pursuing students. The medical college is popularly known as SRIMS Durgapur.

The attached hospital is a multispecialty tertiary care health center equipped with 378 beds and almost every clinical department including modern operation theatres. SRIMS Durgapur is recognized by the Govt. of West Bengal and approved as well by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi.

SRIMS Durgapur is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences Kolkata. SRIMS Durgapur: Eligibility Criteria

Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences Durgapur offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Aspiring students need to qualify in NEET conducted by NTA followed by the counselling conducted by WBMCC, Kolkata.

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in SRIMS Durgapur. The candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

SRIMS Durgapur: Admission Process

In order to take admission in MBBS and PG Courses in Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences Durgapur, Candidates are required to qualify NEET-UG or NEET-PG for MD/MS Courses. MBBS Program is well recognized by the NMC, New Delhi.

Students who wish to take admission in SRIMS Durgapur, need to obtain the 50th Percentile for General Candidates, and for Reserved category students, the 40th Percentile is required. NEET qualified candidates have to participate in the counselling conducted by the West Bengal Main Computerised Counselling.

Admission to Govt. state quota can only be made by the state domicile candidates. In the case of Management seats, All India Quota students can approach, however for every MBBS Seat, the counselling authority will be the same.

SRIMS Durgapur: MBBS Admission Process

Being one of the newest medical colleges in West Bengal, Sri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences Durgapur offers Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. The college offers an MBBS Program that carries a duration of 4.5 years of Academic Course and 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The entire duration of the course is 5.5 years. 

Aspirants seeking admission to SRIMS Durgapur need to qualify for NEET-UG. Candidates are required to go through a centralized Counselling process conducted by WBMCC, Kolkata. 

All rounds of Counselling are held online.
