N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center is one of the prominent medical colleges in Nagpur district in the state of Maharashtra. The medical college was established in 1990 and over the years, it has grown as one of the premier medical institutes of the country offering medical education of high standard and quality health care. 

The institution is spread over 68 acres of land on the outer ring of Nagpur city and scenic beauty can be observed directly from the premises all the time. Initially, the N.K.P. Slave Institute of Medical Sciences was affiliated with Nagpur University but later on, it got affiliated with ‘Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. The college is well recognized by the ‘National Medical Commission’ (Earlier MCI), New Delhi.

N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center is an integral part of the VSPM Academy of Higher Education. The trust was established back in 1971. The medical college has been offering UG and PG Courses in almost every Pre-clinical and Clinical specialization. Besides it, N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center has also recognized seats for Super-specialty courses like M.Ch.

Eligibility Criteria:

N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, the college has also been conferring M.Ch and DM in several specializations. 

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

For DM/M.Ch Aspirants:

• Candidates need to possess a PG Degree in the respective specialization from a recognized medical college by NMC.
• Candidates need to qualify for NEET-SS conducted by the NBE, New Delhi.
• For DM Aspirants, MD Degree is essential to occupy in the respective branch.
• For M.Ch Aspirants, MS Degree in the required branch is mandatory to obtain.

Admission Process:

All the admissions to any of the Medical Courses in NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses.

 MD/MS Admission Process

All the admissions to these PG Courses in the NKP SIMC, Nagpur are based on the score of NEET-PG followed by the centralized counseling conducted by the Maharashtra Cet, Mumbai on the behalf of DMER, Mumbai.
