Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023: Eligibility, Important Dates, Counselling Process, Participating Colleges, and Fees


The state of Punjab the land of five rivers is best known for its advanced medical/dental colleges. BFUHS Faridkot i.e. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot is the state counselling authority for providing admission to the medical and dental colleges in the state. Punjab has 10 medical colleges recognised by NMC New Delhi. Government and private medical colleges in Punjab are bound to follow the guidelines laid down by BFUHS Faridkot. All the NEET-UG 2023 qualified candidates having defined eligibility can participate in the Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023 conducted by BFUHS Faridkot. only domicile candidates of Punjab shall be considered for 85% state quota. 15% seats are offered to AIQ for which counselling is conducted by MCC New Delhi. Most of the colleges are Government Medical Colleges but also have a few of the best private medical colleges in the state of Punjab. As far as MBBS/BDS seats are concerned, the total number of UG medical/dental seats in Punjab is 2685 seats. There are 1425 MBBS seats and 1260 BDS seats in total.

Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023: Counselling Process


Punjab NEET-UG Counselling 2023 is a state Centralised Online Counselling Process. The sole authority to conduct online NEET-UG Counselling 2023 is the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, i.e. BFUHS Faridkot.


Candidates need to visit the official website at https://bfuhs.ac.in for registration on the basis of NEET-UG Score 2023. Candidates can apply to MBBS/BDS Courses in Government/Private medical colleges in the state of Punjab.


Admissions to the Medical/Dental/Ayush colleges of Punjab are solely based on the NEET-UG 2023 score. Only NEET 2023 qualified candidates can participate in the Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023. Details are shared in the article below.

Registration:


  • Candidates have to register on the website i.e. https://bfuhs.ac.in and submit the counselling fee which is Rs. 5900/2950 through Internet banking or any online mode on the basis of category.


  • BFUHS Faridkot will publish the Punjab MBBS 2023 Seat Allotment List for the qualified candidate as per the secured marks and required percentile. Selected candidates will be allowed to participate in further events of Counselling.

Choice Filling:


  • Candidates need to fill in Online choices at the https://bfuhs.ac.in website by using their registration number and Transaction Id generated at the time of registration.


  • Candidates have to fill in their choices of colleges as per their priority. They can fill in as many choices as they wish.

Allotment Result:


  • Candidates can check the seat allotment status from the BFUHS Faridkot at https://bfuhs.ac.in. 


  • Candidates are advised to download their allotment letter which needs to be produced at the time of reporting to the allotted college.


  • Seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank, scored marks, and the choices of their preferences.

Deposition of Tuition Fee:


Candidates participating in the Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023, need to pay the tuition fee online through RTGS/NEFT or any online mode to the BFUHS Faridkot prior to reporting to the college, in case of failure of deposition of tuition fee, the candidature will be rejected. Reporting to Allotted College:


  • This is the final event when the candidates need to report to the allotted college with an allotment letter before the last date of admission.


  • Seats will be considered as confirmed, once the fee payment and verification of documents will be taken place.

Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023: Registration Fee


The registration fee for Punjab MBBS Counselling 2023 is mandatory to pay for participating in the Punjab state counselling. Candidates can pay the requisite amount through Debit/Credit/Net Banking which is non-refundable in nature. 


Besides it, there is a counselling fee which also needs to be paid at the time of registration. However, the counselling fee is refundable after allotment or after completion of the counselling process. More details are mentioned below.
