Narayan Medical College & Hospital is one of the best medical colleges in the state of Bihar. The medical institute is located in the Rohtas district of Bihar. It is popularly known as NMCH, Sasaram. Narayan Medical College & Hospital is one of the first private postgraduate medical institutes established in 2008, specifically dedicated to the poor people of the Rohtas region.

NMCH, Sasaram is a private medical institute, so admissions to the UG and PG courses are granted in Management and NRI quota. The medical institute is founded and promoted by Deo Mangal Memorial Trust. Narayan Medical College is recognized by National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi, and well approved by MoHFW, Govt. of India.

As far as the affiliation of NMCH, Sasaram is concerned, Narayan Medical College & Hospital is affiliated with Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara since 2014. Earlier the medical institute was affiliated with Gopal Narayan Singh University. NMCH is one of the few medical colleges of Bihar recognized by the NMC to offer several clinical and para-clinical programs at the Postgraduate level.

Narayan Medical College & Hospital, Sasaram offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Aspiring students need to qualify in NEET conducted by NTA followed by the counseling conducted by BCECE, Patna. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in Narayan Medical College, Sasaram. The candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
  • Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
  • Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
  • Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. NMCH, Sasaram offers MD and MS Courses in several clinical and paraclinical specializations, recognized by NMC, New Delhi. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, Patna. 

For All India Quota seats, students need to participate in the counseling conducted by MCC.
