The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences is India’s first rural medical college, nestled in the karmabhoomi of Mahatma Gandhi, in Sevagram. It is managed by the Kasturba Health Society. MGIMS, Wardha is one of the oldest private medical colleges in India founded in 1969. The institute offers an MBBS course at the UG level, MD, and MS courses in a total of 20 specializations, Diploma courses in 9 specializations, and Ph.D. courses. The vision of this Institution is to provide advanced medical facilities to the rural people of Wardha. The founder of this college Dr. Sushila Nayar was deeply influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and so she made some code of conduct for this college that needs to be followed by the students and every staff of the college. 

Wearing Khadi, Shramdan and Prayers are some of them.

Eligibility Criteria :

To apply for the UG degree course, candidates must pass 10+2 or equivalent exam in Science Stream with PCB from a recognized board with 50% marks.

Admission to the MBBS program is based on NEET UG Scores conducted by CBSE and as per the cut-off list released by the college.


Admission in MGIMS, Wardha  :

The total Intake of the college for MBBS is 100 with reservations according to the government guidelines. Candidates have to apply and appear for the NEET UG exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Candidates with the required NEET percentile will have to register for AIQ NEET counseling.

Further candidates have to participate in the counseling process conducted by MCC.

Final admission will be based on the marks secured, participation in the counseling process, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
