What is MAH CET?

MAH CET in Maharashtra common entrance Test conducted for MBA entrance in Maharashtra. Maharashtra MBA (MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2021) program is also called as MMS(Masters in Management Studies) program. It is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai for MBA entrance in Maharashtra. 

MAH CET 2021: Eligibility conditions and requirements for admissions

Following are the eligibility criteria for MBA entrance in Maharashtra

  • Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate, or All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature, or NRI/ OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National with following criteria 
  • The Candidate should be an Indian National;
  • Passed minimum Three-year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent 
  • at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories, Economically weaker section and Persons With Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only or its equivalent;
  • Obtained non zero positive scores in one of the following examinations;

CET conducted by the Competent Authority (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2021), Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institute of Management (CAT), or Common Management Aptitude Test Conducted by National Testing Agency (CMAT).

MAH CET 2021: Online application process for MBA entrance in Maharashtra

The candidate needs to fill an online application form with relevant documents. After filling the application form it undergoes through E- Scrutiny Centre (ESC) through e-Scrutiny Mode for verification. If ESC notifies no error then your application form is correct, otherwise, you need to make relevant changes by uploading documents, etc. till not to show any error in the application form. Because of the pandemic, no candidates are allowed to submit their documents in offline mode to ESC. All are required to fill the application form in online mode only.

Filling up and Confirmation of Online Option Form having preferences of Courses and Institutions prior to respective CAP Rounds – Candidates may fill in minimum 1 and maximum 300 choices of Institutes and Courses in decreasing order of their preference. The Options Form once confirmed by the Candidate through their login shall be considered for allotment in the respective CAP Rounds;

(i) In order to participate in the CAP (subject to fulfillment of the eligibility requirements of respective CAP round), it is MANDATORY to fill the Online Option Form for the respective CAP Round.

(ii) Candidates will be able to fill in the online option form through their login.

(iii) It is mandatory for all candidates to confirm the online option form through their login.

MAH CET 2021: Syllabus for MBA entrance in Maharashtra

  1. Logical/ Abstract Reasoning- This section includes the questions to measure how quickly and accurately you can think. It also has questions based on figures and diagrams and also questions on verbal reasoning.
  2. Quantitative Aptitude- This section includes the questions to know how fast and accurately you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio and proportion, percentage, etc. It also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs, and charts.
  3. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension- This section includes passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages, etc. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on understanding of the contents of the passage and choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions, and similar language skills
