Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2022: Counselling Process

Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2022 is a state Centralised Online Counselling Process. The sole authority to conduct online NEET PG Counselling 2022 is Karnataka Education Authority i.e. KEA, Bangalore.

Candidates need to visit the official website at https://kea.kar.nic.in for registration based on the NEET PG Score 2022. Candidates can apply to MD/MS/PGD Courses in various Government/Private medical colleges in the state of Karnataka. To secure a Clinical or Para-clinical (MD/MS) seat in Deemed Medical College, Candidates will have to register at https://mcc.nic.in. There are two rounds of counselling that take place followed by a Mop-Up round of NEET PG Counselling 2022 is subjected to the availability of MD/MS/PGD Seats after the 2nd round.

Registration:

  • Candidates must register on the website i.e., https://kea.kar.nic.in and submit the counselling fee which is Rs. 500/1000/5000 through Internet banking or any online mode.
  • KEA, Bangalore will publish the Karnataka NEET PG 2022 Seat Allotment list for the qualified candidate as per the secured marks and required percentile. Selected candidates will be allowed to participate in further events of Counselling.

Choice Filling:

  • Candidates need to fill in Online choices at the https://kea.kar.nic.in website by using their registration number and Transaction Id generated at the time of registration.
  • Candidates must fill their choices of colleges as per their priority. They can fill choices as many as they wish.

Allotment Result:

  • Candidates can check the seat allotment status from the KEA, Bangalore at https://kea.kar.nic.in
  • Candidates are advised to download their allotment letter which needs to be produced at the time of reporting to the allotted college.
  • Seats are allotted to the candidates based on rank, scored marks, and the choices of their preferences.


Reporting to Allotted College:

  • This is the final event when the candidates need to report to the allotted college with an allotment letter before the last date of admission.
  • Seats will be considered as confirmed, once the fee payment and verification of documents will take place.

There will be a Mop-Up round after Round 2. Mop-Up/Final round is taken place when seats remain vacant after round 2 on the ground of Non-Availability or Non-Reporting of the candidates. Aspirants must be aware of the fact that the Mop-up/Final round will only be carried out by MCC for Deemed/Central Universities and ESIC Institutes.

Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have qualified for NEET-PG 2022.
  • Candidates must have the domicile of Karnataka (Differ for NRI/Other Quota)
  • Candidates must have passed MBBS from an NMC Recognized Medical College.
  • The candidates must have completed 1 year of Mandatory Internship on or before the 31st of July 2022.
  • Any Candidate who has obtained his/her MBBS degree from outside India must have qualified FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) Screening Test along with 1 year of Internship likely to be complete on or before 31st of July, 22.

Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2022: Seat Distribution

The Karnataka Examination Authority i.e., KEA, which can also be visited at https://kea.kar.nic.in is the designated authority of the Govt. of Karnataka to conduct the Karnataka PG Counselling 2022. KEA, Bangalore conducts the counselling for the allotment of seats in various Medical/Dental/Postgraduate degrees and Diploma courses. Let’s have a look at the percentage of seats divided into different categories.

  • 50% Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges
  • 33% of seats in Private Non-Minority Colleges i.e., AMPCK
  • 20% of seats in Private Minority Colleges in KRLMPCA
  • 40% of seats in Private University colleges i.e., KPCF
  • 55% of seats in Private Quota in KRLMPCA and AMPCK Colleges
  • 66% of seats of Minority Candidates
  • 40% of seats in Private University Colleges i.e., KPCF
  • 15% of NRI Quota.
  • 5% of Others Quota

First Round:

In the first round of counselling session, only those candidates can register for PG Counselling, who are seeking their MD/MS/PGD seats through All India Quota and Deemed Medical PG Seats. Candidates can certainly visit https://mcc.nic.in for registration. Aspirants are required to submit their choice. Candidates whose seats have been allotted need to visit the allotted college within mentioned time.

Second Round:

In this round, all NEET PG eligible candidates can apply and register at https://kea.kar.nic.in irrespective of the Karnataka domicile and others. However, earlier choices submitted by the candidates will be considered null. Fresh choices of colleges and MD/MS Seats that need to be submitted are mandatory. 

Mop-Up Round:

This round of counselling is the last one and is subject to the availability of seats after the completion of Round 2. The net vacant seats on account of Non-Joining, and Non-Reporting of round 2 will be published in the seat matrix and eligible candidates must submit fresh choices.
