Kannur Medical College is a Private premier Medical College, Hospital, and Research Institute located at the western tip of the Malabar coast in Kerala. The medical college is popularly known as KMC Kannur. The Kannur Hospital, a 700 bedded teaching hospital is attached with the medical college in order to provide modern clinical practice and cater essential as well as super speciality health services to the people residing in the districts bordering with Maharashtra-Kerala Highway, MAHE (Districts of Puducherry state), Kasargod and Wayanad. 

Kannur Medical College is one of the top private medical institutions in Kerala. Established in August 2006, the integrated campus of KMC Kannur is spread over an area of 218 acres of single plot at Anjarakandy, Kannur district of Kerala. A fresh water river flows through the main campus to the east, which provides serene environment to the Academic block and integrated teaching hospital located in the KMC Campus.

Kannur Medical College Kannur: Eligibility Criteria

Kannur Medical College Kannur offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, KMC Kannur offers MD and MS Courses in certain clinical and para-clinical specializations.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2022. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’22 is not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of July in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Kannur Medical College Kannur: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Kannur Medical College Kannur offers MD and MS Courses along with the Super specialty programs. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations an integral body of Kerala Higher Educations Institutions. Kannur Medical College Kannur: MBBS Admission Process

Kannur Medical College Kannur offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. 

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in KMC Kannur need to qualify for NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi on the behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee.
