Jaipur National University popularly abbreviated as JNU is a self-financing private university. JNU was established in 2007 through an ordinance of the government of Rajasthan. Within the premises of Jaipur National University, there is a world-class private medical college had been set up, namely the Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre. The medical college is widely known as IMS&RC, Jaipur.

The medical college at JNU is dedicated to delivering world-class education, research, and other health care activities that benefit patients and society at large. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre was established in 2016 and since then, it has been an integral part of JNU. Obviously, IMS&RC is affiliated with Jaipur National University. The medical college got permitted to carry out Undergraduate medical programs from National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. 

Several Postgraduate courses are also being started last year in 2020, which are permitted by the competent authority to impart. As far as the infrastructure and facilities provided by the IMS&RC are concerned, the medical college is committed to maintain high academic standards and enhance the quality of the learning and teaching process.

Admissions to UG and PG Programs in the college are strictly considered on the basis of the All India Entrance Exam, NEET-UG and PG are mandatory to qualify in order to obtain a seat in this medical college. PG Courses are started in the last year i.e. 2020. All the preclinical and para-clinical departments are well equipped and have separate research labs. There is a well-stocked Central Library, National and International Journals, and simulation programs for Undergraduate teaching.

JNU’s Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Jaipur offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in the Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Jaipur, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. JNU’s IMSRC, Jaipur offers several MD programs. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by SMS Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur. For All India Quota seats, students need to participate in the counselling conducted by MCC.

Being one of the recently established Medical Colleges in Rajasthan, the Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Jaipur is offering Advanced Postgraduate Medical Courses.  Currently, IMSRC offers several Clinical and Non-clinical courses with a duration of 3 years. All the admissions to these PG Courses are based on the score of NEET-PG. 

Candidates need to participate in the counselling conducted by MCC and the state medical counselling board namely State Counselling Board, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS)  for State Domicile quotas.
