Index Medical College Hospital & Research Center is the very first medical institute in the state of MP to have been granted by the National Medical Commission to have an intake of 250 MBBS Students per session. Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Center is one of the Top medical institutes in the city of Indore.

The college is popularly known as IMCHRC, Indore. Index Medical College is one of the leading medical institutions in the state of Madhya Pradesh. IMCHRC, Indore was established in 2006 by the Mayank Welfare Society. The medical college is an Unaided, self-financed, and private medical college, located in Indore, that has been offering Advanced medical education and practical training to its pursuing UG and PG Students.

IMCHRC, Indore was initially affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya at the time of establishment. Later 2014 onwards, the college had got affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Sciences University, Jabalpur. Finally from 2015 onwards, IMCHRC, Indore had got permanent affiliation with Malwanchal University, Indore. 

As far as the recognition is concerned, Index Medical College is well recognized by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. IMCHRC, Indore is approved to carry out medical programs at UG and the Postgraduate levels by MoHFW, Govt. of India. IMCHRC, Indore has been providing advanced medical programs at UG and several clinical and para-clinical courses at the Postgraduate level.

Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Center is spread across 40 acres of lush green campus in the financial city of MP i.e. Indore. There is 1100 bedded multispecialty teaching hospital on the college campus to provide much clinical exposure to the pursuing students and interns of the college itself. IMCHRC, Indore is the very first private college in the state of MP, that had got permission to intake 250 MBBS Students per session. Index Medical College, Indore: Eligibility Criteria

Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Indore is known for imparting Advanced medical education at distinct levels i.e. UG and PG at the Postgraduate level. Students who are seeking admission to IMCHRC, Indore needs to qualify All India Entrance Test followed by State Medical Counselling and MCC Counselling for AIQ. 

Candidates must be aware that Management/NRI Quota can be claimed on 15% Quota except for 85% state quota. Certain eligibility criteria must be fulfilled to secure a seat in IMCHRC, Indore is mentioned below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
  • Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
  • Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
  • Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.


Index Medical College, Indore: Admission Process

All the admissions to the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam. NEET i.e. National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted twice a year by NTA (National Testing Agency) to provide admission to IMCHRC, Indore. Index Medical College, Hospital, Indore offers MBBS and MD/MS in several Clinical and Para-Clinical specializations.

Students who wish to take admission in IMCHRC, Indore need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh.

As per the collective guidelines of NMC and Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, IMCHRC, Indore offers admission in distinct quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the college itself.

There is a High Court, Jabalpur judgment in 2016, according to which, 85% seats are reserved for state quota only and candidates not having domicile of MP can only claim 15% of seats in the Management/NRI category. Orders are prevailing to MBBS Program. Additionally, 30% of seats in the state quota are reserved for female candidates. Index Medical College, Indore offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. IMCHRC, Indore is the very first medical college in the state that has been permitted to have an annual intake of 250 students per session. 150 seats are recognized while the rest 100 seats are permitted so far. 

The MBBS course in IMCHRC, Indore is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in IMCHRC, Indore need to qualify NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh. The degree conferred by the IMCHRC, Indore is approved by National Medical Commission, New Delhi.
