Eligibility Criteria for Admission to GITAM Medical College Visakhapatnam 

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Visakhapatnam offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. The college is conducting Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. For PG Admissions, candidates must be qualified for NEET-PG 2023 followed by the 1-year mandatory internship. To secure a seat in MBBS/MD/MS at GITAM Visakhapatnam, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below. For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board.

• Candidates belonging to OBC Category must possess 45% marks in the same subject combination and for SC/ST Category, the required percentage is 40%. 

• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained under any circumstances.

• Candidates must have qualified for NEET-UG 2023 with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.

• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of August in the same year of applying.

• Candidates must produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG 2023 for General Category and for the reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

Admission Process in GITAM Medical College Visakhapatnam 

All the admissions to any UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All-India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG 2023 and NEET-PG 2023 for Postgraduate courses.
