Gayatri Vidya Parishad Institute of Health Care & Medical Technology is one of the newest private medical institutes in Andhra Pradesh. The medical college is an integral unit of the Gayatri Vidya Parishad, a non-profit premier educational society. The medical institute was established in 2016 with an objective to look into various issues concerned with health care including Primary Care, attention to BPL groups, Tribal issues, Health tourism, and Health Man Power Development, took it upon itself to consider providing the world class medical facilities at par with global standard on affordable costs and also make it accessible to the poor and needy ones.

The medical college is popularly called GVP Medical College. It is located in 28 acres of land in Maridi Valley at Marikavalasa village. The spacious well planned hospital and college buildings, very close to NH-16, provide quiet atmosphere yet easy access. GVP Medical College has to gain certain objectives, which are-

GVP Medical College Visakhapatnam is well recognized by the National Medical Commission, New Delhi and also has gained due permission from the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The medical college is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada. Currently the college is only offering MBBS program at the Undergraduate level. 

GVP Medical College is planning to start Postgraduate courses in broad specialties in the coming academic year. 2019-20 onwards, GVP Medical College is implementing the competency based medical education as per the guidelines of NMC, New Delhi.

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec’ 2021. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’21 are not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. GVP Medical College Visakhapatanam and also planning to offer MD and MS Courses along with the Superspecialty program. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling.

Gayatri Vidya Parishad Medical College offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship.
