Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College popularly known as PDMMC, is one of the prominent medical institutes in Amravati district in the state of Maharashtra. PDMMC, Amravati is one of the very first medical colleges in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College was established in 1984 under the ambit of Shri Shivaji Education Society. Since the inception of PDMMC, Amravati, the college has been affiliated to ‘Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and well recognized by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. 

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College is a constituent of Shri Shivaji Education Society. The trust was established in 1984 with having a motto to produce expert medical professionals wearing a sense of pride and compassion for the people who have been neglected essential health services. PDMMC has been offering UG and PG Courses in almost every Pre-Clinical and Clinical specialization.

Certain Superspeciality Courses are also offered by the institute for MBBS Candidates. DNB Program is there in the academics of the medical college which are recognized by the NMC. Eligibility Criteria:

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. PDMMC, Amravati is a privately established medical Institution in the state facilitating with appropriate reservation as per the order mentioned by DMER, Mumbai. 

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in PDMMC, Amravati, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age till 31st of Dec. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

For DNB Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Admission Process:

All the admissions to any of the Medical Courses in PDMMC, Amravati are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati offers MD and MS Courses in several Clinical and Non-Clinical programs. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by Maharashtra CET. All the students seeking admission into PDMMC, Amravati need to register themselves on the official website of Maharashtra CET at the time of counseling. 

Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling. 

Seat Matrix :

As per the guidelines laid down by NMC (Earlier MCI) and the relaxation given by the Govt. of Maharashtra, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati offers admission to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of the college.

Reservation Criteria for MBBS 

Additionally, there is a mandatory reservation for the female candidates of 30% in every state and management quota as per the constitutional quota applied by the Govt. of Maharashtra.

MBBS Admission :

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in PDMMC, Amravati need to qualify NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by Maharashtra CET.

MD/MS Admission :

As one of the Prominent Medical Colleges in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati is imparting several Advanced Postgraduate Medical Courses. 

At present, PDMMC offers MD in several Clinical and Non-Clinical specializations along with MS in Orthopaedics and ENT, etc with a duration of 3 years. All the admissions to these PG Courses in the PDMMC, Amravati are based on the score of NEET-PG followed by the centralized counseling conducted by the Maharashtra Cet, Mumbai on the behalf of DMER, Mumbai. 

Candidates need to participate in the counseling conducted by MahaCET for distinct quotas. Stipend Details:

PDMMC, Amravati is one of the reputed Medical Colleges in Maharashtra. The college provides a stipend to the PG students studying Clinical Specialization, right from the first year of their Academics.
