Deccan College of Medical Sciences is one of the oldest medical colleges which was established as a Muslim Minority medical institute in 1984 with a noble intention to promote higher education among Muslim candidates. The medical college was founded and managed by Darus-Salam Educational Trust. The same trust also promotes the DCMS Hyderabad to perform various charities among the community. DCMS i.e. Deccan College of Medical Sciences has been affiliated with Kaloji Narayanrao University of Health Sciences Warangal since its inception and also counselling is done by the same university in every session as per the directives of Govt. of Telangana. Currently, Deccan College of Medical Sciences is offering MBBS Program at the undergraduate level and certain MD/MS Programs at the Postgraduate level with due permission granted by National Medical Commission New Delhi.

Admissions to all programs are followed by all India entrance exams i.e. NEET-UG 2023 for MBBS Course and NEET-PG 2023 for MD/MS Courses. NEET-SS 2023 is mandatory to qualify for DM and M.Ch programs which are super specialty courses.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Deccan College of Medical Sciences Hyderabad

Medical aspiring candidates must be aware of certain eligibility criteria that are formulated by the collective directives of the National Medical Commission and KNR University of Health Sciences Warangal. MBBS seats can be occupied by qualifying NEET-UG 2023 followed by the counselling conducted by KNR University of Health Sciences.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 

• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained under any circumstances.

• Candidates must have qualified for NEET-UG 2023 with the required percentile.

• Category ‘A’ and local seats of Category ‘B’ in DCMS Hyderabad are only allotted to the domicile candidates of Telangana. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed the MBBS program from a recognized University by the NMC.

• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of August in the same year of applying.

• Candidates must have qualified for NEET-PG 2023 with the required percentile.

• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

For DM/M.Ch Aspirants:

• Candidates need to possess a PG Degree in the respective specialization from a recognized medical college by NMC.

• Candidates need to qualify for NEET-SS 2023 conducted by the NBE, New Delhi.

• For DM Aspirants, MD Degree is essential to possess in the respective branch.

• For M.Ch Aspirants, MS Degree in the required branch is mandatory to possess.

Deccan College of Medical Sciences is one of the leading Muslim minority medical institutes in the state of Telangana precisely located in the capital city of Telangana. As far as Postgraduate programs are concerned, there are 66 total seats being offered by DCMS Hyderabad in several Clinical and Para-Clinical specialties with a course duration of 3 years.
