Christian Medical College is the oldest and one of the top medical colleges in Punjab. CMC Ludhiana is the only medical college in North India with a noble motto of promoting quality medical education to the Christian community. Christian Medical College was founded just after independence in 1953. 

Initially, the medical college was known as Women’s Christian Medical College until 1952. A year later in 1953, with the noble intent of providing quality medical education to both men and women, the Women’s Christian Medical College turned into a full-fledged MBBS College, which came to be known as Christian Medical College Ludhiana. The management of the college came under the aegis of the “Christian Medical College Society Ludhiana”.

CMC Ludhiana was established as a constituent unit of the Christian Medical College Society Ludhiana. Initially, CMC Ludhiana was affiliated with Punjab University Chandigarh, from its inception till 1999 when CMC Ludhiana is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot. Several other institutions of Nursing, Engineering, and Dental have been functioning and managed well by the Society itself.

Currently, Christian Medical College is offering an MBBS program with an annual intake of 100 students per session. Eligibility Criteria for Admission to CMC Ludhiana 

Christian Medical College is known for imparting Advanced medical education at distinct levels i.e. MBBS at UG and at the Postgraduate level. • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 

• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained under any circumstances.

• Candidates must have qualified for NEET-UG 2023 with the required percentile.

• Govt. quota seats in CMC Ludhiana are only allotted to the domicile candidates of Punjab. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.

• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of August in the same year of applying.
