Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute popularly known as CNCI Kolkata is one of the top Cancer research centers in the capital of Kolkata in West Bengal. CNCI Chittaranjan is one of the top 27 Cancer Research Centres in India. Initially, it was incepted as the Chittaranjan Cancer Hospital in 1957 with the help of Govt. of India with a motto to perform cancer treatment. Later the center was joined by the Chittaranjan National Cancer Research Centre. Much later in 1987, the two Cancer centers merged into a single entity named Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute.

CNCI Kolkata was set up to perform basic and Clinical Research for Cancer along with the treatment of Cancer. CNCI Kolkata is recognised and established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India. Currently, CNCI Kolkata is imparting several clinical programs at the Postgraduate and Post-doctoral levels. Candidates need to qualify for NEET-PG 2023 in order to pursue clinical academics in the CNCI Kolkata. Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute

Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute is a premier Cancer Research center in West Bengal among the 27 across the country. Aspirants interested in cancer research can certainly opt for this institute to pursue Postgraduate and Post-doctoral programs in several specialisations. 

There are certain eligibility criteria formulated by the NMC New Delhi and MoHFW Govt. of India. All admissions are based on NEET Exams 2023 followed by the counselling conducted by MCC New Delhi. For MD Programs:

Candidates need to provide a domicile certificate in the prescribed proforma available at https://wbmcc.nic.in to claim state quota.

Candidates must have passed MBBS from a medical college recognized by NMC.

Candidates need to qualify for NEET-PG 2023 with the required percentile.

Candidates need to produce a permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by NMC or any state medical council at the time of counselling. 

For M.Ch. Programs:

Candidates must have passed MD or MS in any specialisations from any medical college recognized by NMC New Delhi.

Candidates must have qualified for NEET-SS 2023 conducted by NBE New Delhi.

For DM Programs, candidates need to possess an MD Degree in a specific branch of medicine.

For M.Ch. Programs, candidates need to possess an MS Degree in a specific branch of Surgery.
