Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

Admission Process:

As one of the Newest Private Medical Colleges in the Southern region of Maharashtra, BKL Walawalkar Rural Medical College, Ratnagiri is imparting several Advanced Postgraduate Medical Courses. At present, BKLWRMC offers MD in several Clinical and Non-Clinical specializations along with MS in Orthopaedics and OBGY with a duration of 3 years. All the admissions to these PG Courses in the BKLWRMC, Ratnagiri are based on the score of NEET-PG followed by the centralized counselling conducted by the Maharashtra Cet, Mumbai on the behalf of DMER, Mumbai.

The hospital has been established by the same trust i.e. SVCT with an objective to provide medical facilities to the poor villagers around Dervan. The Hospital & Research Centre is situated in the hilly region of beautiful Konkan.

BKL Walawalkar Hospital, Diagnostic & Research Centre is a fully functional, modern, and Multispecialty treatment center that is equipped with Ultra-Modern facilities, international Collaborations for Research, regular research seminars, and has been an active participant of the community services. Some significant facilities and remarkable achievements acquired by the hospital are mentioned below.

  • BKL Walawalkar Hospital & Research Centre has a fully functional and serving department of Emergency Medicine. The capacity to manage emergency cases is 24 patients at a time, equipped with dedicated OT and a staff room. The casualty area is very frequently busy carrying Trauma cases round the clock.   
  • There are 10 bedded Intensive Care Unit in the Emergency department adjacent to the casualty area. Multiple dedicated ICUs are Surgical ICU, Neonatal ICU, Paediatric ICU, etc. ICUs are equipped with Operation Theatres and a well-equipped Diagnostic Centre, CT Scanner, 2D-Echo, Color Doppler, and Haemodialysis Unit.
  • BKL Walawalkar Hospital & Research Centre is the only medical treatment center having an ICU dedicated to Neonatal in the entire Konkan region. Neonatal ICU is equipped with 10 Incubators and a Ventilator. Thousands of neonates have been nursed so far in the Neonatal ICU of the hospital.
  • 12 well-equipped operation theatres are available in the hospital with separate Surgeons & Anaesthetics room, Sterilization room, and an observation gallery for students.
