The college was established in 1956 by Bankura Sammilani Trust and later in 1961, BSMC Bankura was taken over by the govt. of West Bengal. As far as academic programs are concerned, Bankura Sammilani Medical College Bankura has been offering MBBS and MD MS programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels simultaneously. Since BSMC Bankura is a government medical college hence, only domicile candidates of the state of West Bengal shall be considered for 85% of state quota seats. Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Bankura Sammilani Medical College

B.S. Medical College Bankura is known for its advanced medical courses imparted at distinct levels. There are certain eligibility criteria formulated by the collective guidelines of NMC New Delhi and WBUHS Kolkata. Domicile Candidates of West Bengal need to participate in the counselling conducted by WBMCC. For MBBS Candidates:

Candidates must provide a domicile certificate stamped and signed by the competent authority. Candidates can download the domicile certificate proforma from https://wbmcc.nic.in.

Candidates need to qualify for NEET-UG 2023 with the required percentile.

Candidates need to have passed 12th with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Reserved category candidates need to possess 40% of the same.

Candidates need to attain 17 years of age by 31st Dec in the same year of applying. Less than mentioned age shall not be considered under any circumstances.

For MD MS Candidates:

Candidates need to provide a domicile certificate in the prescribed proforma available at https://wbmcc.nic.in to claim state quota.

Candidates must have passed MBBS from a medical college recognized by NMC.

Candidates need to qualify for NEET-PG 2023 with the required percentile.

Candidates need to produce a permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by NMC or any state medical council at the time of counselling. 

Admission Process in Bankura Sammilani Medical College
