Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research is one of the top private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The medical college is the dream project of Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation. The Research Foundation is a well-known research institute in the field of research and education fields since 1994. 

Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Chittoor is popularly known as AIMS, Chittoor and was established in 2015 in the vast Apollo Knowledge & Health City, Chittoor. AIMS Chittoor is developed on a 108 acres of campus with ultra-modern teaching facilities. Academic programs are well recognized by the NMC, New Delhi. 

AIMS, Chittoor is affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada. Currently, none of any Postgraduate programs are offered by the college, but only MBBS Program is being offered to 150 seats per academic session. Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor: Eligibility Criteria

Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, the college has also been conferring M.Sc Nursing and Para-Medical programs in various specializations. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in AIMSR, Chittoor, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec’ 2021. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’21 are not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor offers MD and MS Courses along with Para-Medical programs. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling.

As per the guidelines of NMC (Earlier MCI), Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor offers admission in distinct quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of the college. 

As per the directives laid down by the National Medical Commission, 50% of seats are reserved in the State quota, 35% of seats are reserved in the Management quota and 15% of seats are reserved under the NRI quota. Necessary details are mentioned below.

Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor offers a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. 

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences Chittoor  need to qualify for NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi on the behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee. All rounds of counselling are held online.
