Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, the college has also been conferring M.Ch and DM in distinct specializations. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
  • Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
  • Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
  • Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

For DM/M.Ch Aspirants:

  • Candidates need to possess a PG Degree in the respective specialization from a recognized medical college by NMC.
  • Candidates need to qualify NEET-SS conducted by the NBE, New Delhi.
  • For DM Aspirants, MD Degree is essential to occupy in the respective branch.
  • For M.Ch Aspirants, MS Degree in the required branch is mandatory to obtain.


Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. AIMS, Kochi offers MD and MS Courses along with the Superspecialty program. Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by MCC. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling.

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi is an integral unit of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi. The University is widely regarded for its super specialty programs in almost every clinical and non-clinical branch of medical sciences. A number of DM programs along with M.Ch courses are conducted in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Most of these courses are attained by the DNB Candidates and MD/MS qualified candidates. The courses are highly demanding.
