Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences is the recently established medical college in the holy city of Ujjain. The medical college is popularly known as AIMS, Ujjain. AIMS, Ujjain was founded by Amaltas Educational Welfare Society in 2016. Since its inception, AIMS, Ujjain has been doing off marked progress in producing expert doctors and skilled medical and para-medical professionals.

AIMS, Ujjain is an integral unit of Amaltas Educational Welfare Society. The medical college is affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Sciences University, Jabalpur since the foundation of the college. AIMS, Ujjain is well recognized by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi, and approved by MoHFW, Govt. of India. AIMS, Ujjain is also imparting Para-Medical courses in several specializations, which are well approved by the Nursing Council of India and Pharmacy Council of India as well.

As far as the location of AIMS, Ujjain is concerned, the medical college is located in village Bangar on Dewas-Ujjain Highway in a pollution-free environment surrounded by a lush green field. The medical college campus is spread over 27 acres of land. As far as the Academic programs conferred by AIMS, Ujjain are concerned, several Undergraduate programs are imparted through MBBS and B.Sc Nursing. 

There is a DNB in Obst. & Gynae program at the Postgraduate level. Various para-medical courses are also being imparted in several specializations. Master’s degree in Nursing is also imparted by the AIMS, Ujjain. Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences, Ujjain: Eligibility Criteria

Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences, Ujjain is known for imparting Advanced medical education at distinct levels i.e. UG and PG at the Postgraduate level. Students who are seeking admission to AIMS, Ujjain needs to qualify All India Entrance Test followed by State Medical Counselling and MCC Counselling for AIQ. 

Candidates must be aware that Management/NRI Quota can be claimed on 15% Quota except for 85% state quota. Certain eligibility criteria must be fulfilled to secure a seat in AIMS, Ujjain is mentioned below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 


For B.Sc Nursing:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at its core subjects having 45% marks from any recognized board. There is no such minimum marks assigned for reserved category students.
  • Candidates appearing in the 10+2 examination in Science conducted by the National Institute of Open School with 45% marks are also eligible for B.Sc Nursing.
  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st Dec of the year in which admission is sought. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.  


For M.Sc Nursing:

  • Candidates must have passed B.Sc Nursing or Graduation with Biology with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at its core subjects having 45% marks from any recognized University. There are no such minimum marks assigned for reserved category students.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year examination in Science conducted by the recognized university from UGC with 45% marks are also eligible for M.Sc Nursing.
  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st Dec of the year in which admission is sought. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.  


Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences, Ujjain: Admission Process

All the admissions to the MBBS Program are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam. NEET i.e. National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted twice a year by NTA (National Testing Agency) to provide admission to AIMS, Ujjain. Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS and B.Sc, M.Sc Nursing in several Para-Clinical specializations.

Students who wish to take admission in AIMS, Ujjain need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh. 

Only All India Quota Counselling is confined to be conducted by MCC. Candidates can certainly visit the official website of the MP State Medical Counselling at https://dme.mponline.gov.in for more details. Only NEET qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling.


Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences, Ujjain: Seat Matrix for Distinct Quotas

As per the collective guidelines of NMC and Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, AIMS, Ujjain offers admission in distinct quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the college itself.

There is a High Court, Jabalpur judgment in 2016, according to which, 85% seats are reserved for state quota only and candidates not having domicile of MP can only claim 15% of seats in the Management/NRI category. Orders are prevailing to MBBS Program. Additionally, 30% of seats in the state quota are reserved for female candidates. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling.  Necessary details are being mentioned below.

Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences, Ujjain offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The degree conferred by the AIMS, Ujjain is approved by National Medical Commission, New Delhi. 

The MBBS course in AIMS, Ujjain is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in AIMS, Ujjain need to qualify NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh. 

All rounds of counseling are held online. Candidates per secured rank in NEET-UG will be able to acquire a seat and then need to report to the college with essential documents.
