Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Thrissur offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, AIMS, Thrissur offers MD and MS Courses in several clinical and para-clinical specializations.

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in AIMS, Thrissur, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below. For MBBS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
  • The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2021. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’21 are not eligible.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

  • Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
  • Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 31st of July in the same year of applying.
  • Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

 

For DM/M.Ch Aspirants:

  • Candidates need to possess a PG Degree in the respective specialization from a recognized medical college by NMC.
  • Candidates need to qualify for NEET-SS conducted by the NBE, New Delhi.
  • For DM Aspirants, MD Degree is essential to possess in the respective branch.
  • For M.Ch Aspirants, MS Degree in the required branch is mandatory to obtain.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All-India Entrance Exam i.e., NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Thrissur offers MD and MS Courses along with the Super specialty program.

MBBS Admission Process

Amala Institute of Medical Sciences offers bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. 

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Thrissur need to qualify for NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi on the behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee. All rounds of counselling are held online.
