Akash Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre is one of the newly established medical colleges in the state of Karnataka. The medical institute is popularly known as AIMSRC and is precisely located in the capital city of Bengaluru.

AIMSRC, Bengaluru was established in 2014. The medical college is affiliated since its inception with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. AIMSRC, Bengaluru is recognized by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi, and well approved by MoHFW, Govt. of India.

Akash Institute of Medical Sciences has recently drawn some postgraduate seats in MD/MS programs. All seats are recognized by NMC, New Delhi. As far as the clinical exposure provided to the students and PG Interns is concerned, AIMSRC, Bengaluru is well equipped with a multispecialty tertiary care hospital.

• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

Akash Medical College, Bengaluru: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. AIMSRC, Bengaluru offers MD and MS Courses in several clinical and para-clinical specializations, recognized by NMC, New Delhi. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore. For All India Quota seats, students need to participate in the counseling conducted by the same. Akash Medical College, Bengaluru: MBBS Admission Process

Being one of the Premier Medical Colleges in Karnataka, Akash Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengaluru offers Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. The college offers an MBBS Program that carries a duration of 4.5 years of Academic Course and 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The entire duration of the course is 5.5 years. 

Aspirants seeking admission to AIMSRC, Bengaluru need to qualify for NEET-UG. Candidates are required to go through a centralized Counselling process conducted by KEA, Bangalore.
